We operate the world’s most powerful transformer testing laboratories, featuring some of the highest short-circuit power levels available on the European transmission grid.
Each of our labs is equipped to deliver the high power needed for the most demanding short-time current tests required by our customers. This includes the ability to perform extended short-time tests lasting up to 3 to 5 seconds for distribution transformers.
To meet your needs efficiently, our expert teams ensure that testing is fast, streamlined, and convenient. At our Arnhem facilities, for example, transformers can be transported via the Rhine River and tested directly on the barge, saving time and reducing handling costs, while offering a fully equipped environment for test preparation.
Since 2015, KEMA Labs has also been the first in the world to offer testing capabilities for components operating at 800 kV and above, reinforcing our commitment to innovation and excellence in high-voltage testing.
